Chiropractor Mark Stutman D.C.
Dr. Stutman is fluent in Spanish, and has a degree from SUNY at Buffalo in Spanish-language and civilization. Dr. Stutman graduated from Life University of Chiropractic in Marietta Georgia, in 1993. He is the founder of Stutman Chiropractic, and has been practicing chiropractic and physiotherapy since 1993.
Dr. Stutman uses a variety of different Chiropractic and Physical Therapy techniques in order to help his patients heal from a variety of conditions including injuries due to Auto and Work accidents, including sacral-occipital technique, Diversified adjusting, activator instrumentation, trigger point therapy, kinesiotaping, and chiropractic biophysics. Dr. Stutman is also trained and certified to perform CDN, Contemporary Dry Needling and Cold Laser Therapy.
In his spare time, Dr. Stutman enjoys golf, and chess. He is happily married to his wife Susan for the past 18 years, and enjoys spending time with their five boys.
Chiropractor Evan Gershater D.C.
Dr. Evan Gershater recently moved to Silver Spring, MD with his wife and daughter from New York City. He was raised in Pittsburgh, PA, and studied in Israel for 2 years before obtaining a bachelor degree in psychology from Hebrew Theological College in Chicago, IL.
Dr. Gershater attended University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic where he graduated Magna cum Laude in 2010. Since then, he has studied Active Release Technique, Kinesio-Taping, and sports chiropractic and rehab. He was a member of the Sports Chiropractors of New York, and volunteered at marathons, triathalons and various running events around the New York area. He has also given many talks on various health and wellness topics to businesses, schools, community centers, and gyms in New York City. He is also certified in Dry Needling technique and BrainCore Neurofeedback Therapy.
Over the past several years, Dr. Gershater has also gained a profound interest in the deaf and hard of hearing culture, and has learned American Sign Language to better communicate and thereby provide chiropractic care to this community.
Dr. Gershater uses a whole-body approach to his treatment, looking beyond the symptoms at posture, body mechanics, work and daily activities, and history of injuries to find the source of the problem. Using various hands-on techniques along with state-of –the-art physical therapy modalities, functional rehabilitation and education, Dr. Gershater has helped his patients get well, stay well, and enjoy the benefits that chiropractic care has to offer.
Chiropractor Yizhak Bushwick D.C.
Dr. Yizhak Bushwick joined the team at Stutman Chiropractic in 2013. He lives in Baltimore with his wife and four children after graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic.
A native of Scranton, PA, Dr. Bushwick completed his pre-med courses at Towson. He has experience in many aspects of Chiropractic care including physical therapy, chiropractic adjustments, myofascial release, extremity adjustments, and fitness rejuvenation.
Dr. Bushwick is also certified in Graston Technique® which is an instrument that assists with joint mobilization.
In his free time, Dr. Bushwick enjoys hiking, boating, and spending time with his lovely wife and their four beautiful children
Melissa Merlos is the youngest of our staff at Stutman Chiropractic. Melissa was born in El Salvador, but raised in Hyattsville, Maryland. She graduated from Northwestern High School, and is bilingual in both English and Spanish.
Melissa has a line of experience in customer service, and has also worked with chiropractors in the past. She loves helping others, and enjoys working one on one with patients. She is as friendly as they come - sugar, spice and everything nice!
Karen Guambo was born in Washington DC but was raised in Montgomery County, Maryland. Besides being fluent in English and Spanish, Karen has many talents up her sleeve; which include knowledge of Music Therapy and Cosmetology. Overall, Karen likes to create beauty with her hands for the benefit of others. Karen is very perceptive, service and solution oriented and a genuine 'people person'. Karen is very detail oriented and has great communication skills which she applies in assisting our patients.
Karen comes from a family that is very familiar with the benefits of Chiropractic; a valuable asset in helping our patients.
She loves spending time with her husband Sam and her dog Muneco.
